MacBook Pro

MacBook Pro er Apples første bærbare datamaskin med Intel-prosessor og ble introdusert 10. januar 2006 under Macworld Conference & Expo;. Maskinen tar over for Apples tidligere laptop-serie, PowerBook G4.

MacBook Pro drives av en Core 2 Duo-prosessor fra Intel. Intel Core 2 Duo er en prosessorbrikke med to prosessorer på samme brikke. Ifølge Apple er denne maskinen 4-5 ganger raskere enn PowerBook G4-serien som den nå har tatt over for.

Man kan velge om man vil ha såkalt glossy, eller blank, overflate på skjermen til MacBook Pro eller ikke.

Unike egenskaper

MacBook Proen blir levert med endel nye egenskaper. Disse er bla. 802.11n trådløst nettverk, som kan overføre opptil 540 mbps. Den har også MagSafe strømkontakt, som hindrer at Macen skal falle i gulvet hvis noen snubler i ledningen.
